All right I know what you are thinking to yourself: all games have endings. I will admit that usually this is true, usually. Most often when we play a game the goal or objective is to win in order to end the game, however there are some games that really have no definitive ending.

The Thing About Genre
Video game genres say a lot about a game. It’s more than just what kind of story you’re in for, but also the expectations for how you’ll interact with the game and what the goals might be. But sometimes the qualifiers we use to put media into categories like genre can be more inclusive than we expect. I’ve never held an interest in RPGs nor really paid them any mind until we discussed them in class. Sims have a habit of catching on fire. The strongest memory I have from when I first played Sims 1 as a child was the sudden panic after turning away from the computer screen for one second I returned to find a panicked Sim surrounded by fire and lamenting that I had not installed fire alarms to alert firefighters to save her. Needless to say the first game of Sims I ever played did not go well, as ultimately my carelessness resulted in death by fire for my Sim.

My favorite game in the whole entire world would have to be The Sims any kind, I love them all so I had to find an article on The Sims 3 a fairly recent Sims game that came out. When I was looking up article I wanted to find the most perfect one to do, and I came across one that was called “Exploring the Mysteries of the Mind with the Sims 3”. When I read this title I automatically was thinking that this had to do something with psychology since it had the word “mind” in it.
